SOLL) AA division for Isaac and the final game on the Sunday June 3 for Luke. Isaac performed best pitching performance in the final game, although the team lost by 1 Run in the game #1 and #2 (Isaac could not pitch for the game #1 due to his pitch count in the previous game). Isaac completed 5 innings with expected pitch count, under 75 pitches with 13 strikeouts and no hit, although he gave up 3 walks, which consequently allowed 2 runs because the runners kept stealing bases, including the home-base. Ironbirds (Isaac's team) had 4 run advantages when entered the 6th inning, but relievers could not hold on to the advantage and gave up 4 runs. The game went into the extra inning, 7th inning, and the Ironbird gave up another run in the bottom of 7th. Despite the loss, I am very impressed with his pitching because he did not allow any hit against the division champions! Coaches and parents on the opponent team were also so impressed and now so many people think that Isaac is the best pitcher in the league. Batting is another story. Although he struggled batting in beginning of the season, he probably ended up around .700 batting average throughout the seson including 3 home runs (2 over the fence and 1 inside park). Consequently, Isaac has been selected for playing All Stars Game, representing Ironbirds and SOLL (South Oakland Little League Division)!
Luke also showed great improvement in batting. In his league, Farm A (Middle level of Recreational level), he never used "T' as assistive devise for batting. He always hit a ball thrown by his coach. We are not sure if he will be at the highest level of Recreational level (Farm B) in the next year, but we'll see.
