Long time..

Stingray City

Turtle Farm, Grand Cayman

Wow it has been a long time since I have put anything into the blog. But here is the latest. So during Thanksgiving time we went on a cruise with my family to Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel. We had a blast, jet skiing, swimming with the stingrays, yes real stingrays and kayaking in the ocean. And of course eating all the wonderful food that I will never be able to cook:) Then we came back and it seems that our son has just taken off walking faster and faster everyday. Now we are heading to Japan so he can visit all his grandparents, aunt and uncles and cousins. So here are some pictures of our cruise and of course Isaac's walking skills:)

Have a great Holiday!

Isaac is taking his first steps

Isaac on Veteran's Day decided he was tired of crawling and he took his first 10 steps! Watch out world here he comes... I am in for it aren't I? :) And he is only 9 1/2 months, aahh! Here is a video of some short steps. We haven't been able to catch him doing the 10 steps or more, we are always to slow with the video camera. Also here is a video of the tough life of Isaac:)

Halloween Time

So it was Isaac's first Halloween and I decided to dress him up as a dragon, well at least I think it is a dragon, but Masa says it is a dinosaur. Let us know what your verdict is.

He was able to participate in my school parade which he was so confused as to what was going on. Here are some pictures.

It has been a while..

I have been busy with work and family life but I have found some time to sit down and post some more pictures. He is now walking along the furniture and he is working on his 6th tooth. He is starting to eat some regular food small pieces at a time. Here are some pictures of past events with friends and family. Also last weekend he was on the playground swing and loved it!

Crawling...

So Isaac started to crawl at about 7 1/2 months and I finally am getting around to posting it. He has a funny crawl, which is basically one leg under while the other propels him. He has also started to pull himself up onto furniture, but has not mastered yet how to sit down comfortably:)

One of his cousins also did the one legged crawl, must run in the family.

Isaac is 7 months!

Well I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, but not much to post. Except that last week he went to his swimming lesson and we successfully had him go underwater. He did not cry, but he was shocked. We tried to get pictures with our underwater camera but the pictures did not turn out. We were disappointed. His grandmother from Japan came out to visit and went back on Tuesday the 26th. I started school this week and this was Isaac's first week at Daycare. He cried pretty much all the day on Monday but by Wednesday he was a happy little camper. Although he wasn't completely happy because of the awful heat last week. This is why he was a nude baby for some of the days.

We have our routine of me waling him in the stroller to daycare, down the street and then from there I walk to work down the street from the daycare. It is nice and convenient! He is almost ready to crawl, getting up into his frog position, but hasn't started crawling yet. That will be soon, and then I will be chasing him:)

First Swimming Lesson

Isaac had his first swimming lesson on Saturday. I think it is important to get them used to the water so when they come to a situation where they need the swimming skills they will have it at a young age. We are enjoying our swimming lessons and our friend down the street is also taking them with us. He is 5 days older than Isaac.

My first plane trip

Well decided to brave a plane trip to Portland, Oregon. Isaac's Baba (Japanese grandma) arrived Monday, August 11th and then we all flew to Portland, Oregon on Tuesday and came back Friday. I was nervous because I wasn't sure how Isaac would react to the plane noise and the possible ear popping. I noticed a couple weeks before he had been very sensitive to noise, so I was definitely worried that he would be screaming the whole way. Well boy did he surprise me, he loved it! Not one scream the whole way, only scream of delight. We went to Portland and then rented a car and drove along the coast to Florence, Salem, Astoria and Tillamook. Florence we stayed in a hotel with a beautiful view of the river. It was a cute little coastal town. Popular for its sand dunes and the Sea Lion Caves. Yes we were able to see a good view of the Sea Lions and a Grey Whale to boot! Then it was on to Tillamook, famous for its Tillamook Cheese factory. Yes I of course loved the free samples of cheese. It was an interesting process to watch. And of course I had to have a sample or should I say BIG SCOOP of their ice cream! Someday Isaac will enjoy his ice cream too. Then off to Astoria where Masa had worked during the summer for the past 8 years, working with the fish industry. We stayed at a hotel that looked out onto the Astoria bridge and the water. It was great! We went to the maritime museum and learned about the boats and the cargo transportation and the dangerous point at where the Columbia River and the ocean collide. I would not want to be on a boat at that point! Then lastly we headed off to Portland to visit with Masa's Host family and friends. We had a big family gathering and had a great dinner and then the next day we flew back home. By the way Isaac was well loved on the plane ride home, he is quite the social butterfly.

Isaac did well the whole trip, but he really did not want to sleep, so we had to rock him to sleep. He wanted to party all night long! Here are some pics.

Visiting Friends

Isaac had a visit from my good friend Michelle. He loved especially to pull Michelle's hair. Then after that it was on to Vallejo.
Isaac has been going everywhere lately. It seems like he will be a well traveled child. We went with Amanda to Vallejo to visit our good friend Katie. Isaac did well in the car and the whole day, even taking a break from playing with his toys to fall asleep on his pillow. We had fun and it was great to see Katie!
Then after Vallejo the next week we went for the day to Alamo to visit the Marks family at their house. They came to visit Isaac when he was about 3 months old. He has fun playing with Gavin and Carli.

Isaac is 6 months!

Stephanie and Isaac

Isaac has had a busy couple of weeks. We went to Santa Rosa for his uncle, cousin and auntie's b-day party. Then the next day he had to go to a Baptism BBQ for his 6 month old friend Allison. Then that Thursday we went to Nonie's so daddy could finish her deck. That Thursday we went to dancing in Windsor Green, he loved the music and the next night Mommy and Daddy went out dancing in Santa Rosa. He also got to meet mommy's former doctor and mommy's good friend Stephanie. He also met all of mommy's dancing friends. It was a busy couple of weeks.

Here are some pictures and videos of all these great things! And to top it all off, he got his first tooth!

Isaac is in the process of rolling over from back to tummy...

Isaac is starting to get the hang of turning farther and farther over each day. Today he rolled over about 3 times from back to tummy. I think in time he will be a pro.

Our other amazing child!

So it is only fair that Junior get some blog time of his own. We have come to learn that Junior is quite an amazing bird and needless to say a daredevil. Here is a picture of his latest daredevil move. What it is to be 1 year old again!

As you see he is straddling between two of his toys. Just like an acrobat!

Isaac voicing his opinion and kissing/eating Junior

Isaac has become more and more vocal. He is starting to use his voice and likes the way he sounds.
Here is a video of one of his many conversations.

Also Junior, our bird, likes to look at Isaac. Isaac thinks Junior is food and therefore opens his mouth wide and tries to eat Junior. Junior thinks this means Isaac wants a kiss.
Here are some cute pictures of this interaction.

A few days worth of fun!

Amanda, Kelly and Isaac

Isaac and Camden

We have had a busy past couple of days. Thursday we went to a neighbor's house that has a boy 5 days older than Isaac and we had a pre-July 4th BBQ. It was fun and it was cute to see the boys interacting with each other. Next month they are taking swim lessons together. Then July 4th we had Kelly and Amanda over for a BBQ and some 4th of July fireworks, although the fireworks were a bust since it was so foggy we couldn't even see them.:(

So here are some pictures of these fun events and one of Isaac loving to play peekaboo. His new favorite thing is mommy and him playing peekaboo.

I am a Gerber Food Kid now:)

So Isaac is starting to eat his pureed Gerber food. His food choices so far, prunes (good for his digestive track), peaches (sort of) and oatmeal(he likes). I feed him at lunch and dinner and he always likes a bottle to follow. I have just started feeding him the oatmeal for breakfast. He is a messy eater! He has learned it is funny to make spitting bubbles while eating, so food sometimes will spray. Thanks for the clean up kid:)

He is almost ready to completely sit up, but still not there yet.

More friends...

Isaac has had many visitors lately. Keith, Viki and Loryn came up from LA to visit this past weekend. Isaac loved playing with Loryn. Isaac was so good he slept through our dinner out and our breakfast at Chinese Dim Sum.

And Junior got in on the fun as well!
