2017 Cupertino Invitational Judo Tournament

Isaac participated in 2017 Cupertino Invitational Judo Tournament, the 9/10 years old Yellow belt division this year and reached to the 2nd place (3 wins and 1 loss).  Isaac did not have a good memory of this tournament because he participated in the 7/8 years old White/Yellow belt division and ended up 4th place out of 5 kids last year.  Isaac is becoming more confident and becoming a contender in the Yellow belt division, although he still have to work to beat Orange belts.

2017 Baesball Season began!

Isaac started playing baseball last year with NOLL/SOLL (North Oakland Little League/South OLL).  Isaac skipped playing for T-ball and Farm A and started out with Farm B, in which he had great progress.  Isaac wanted to step up to the next level this year, which is AA, although he did not do well for fielding during the try out and was not drafted by any AA teams.  He was disappointed a little, but decided to play at Farm B again.  Now, he is playing for Farm B, Phillies.  He probably has the best arm in the team and bats very well.

San Jose Buddhist JUDO​​ invitational - 2017 Tournament

Isaac and David from Oakland Judo participated in the  San Jose Buddhist JUDO​​ invitational - 2017 Tournament, Isaac participated in the 9/10 years old, Orange/Yellow belt division and David participated in the 7/8/ years old, Yellow/While belt division.  David has been placed in the 3rd place with 2 wins and 1 loss.  Isaac has been placed in the 4th place (no medal) with 1 win and 3 losses.  Isaac did as best as he could do at this moment and still has work to do to beat Orange belts.

Isaac's First Gold Medal at a Judo Tournament!

It has been almost 2 years since Isaac started learning Judo at a local Judo club, Oakland Judo.  He has tried out many tournaments, but had never stood on middle of a podium until this tournament. A year ago, Isaac had the first win in a white belt (beginner) division at the same tournament, and now he has the first gold medal (1st place) in a higher, 7/8 yrs yellow belt, division.  He has been working hard with Sensei, teammates, and Daddy consistently and finally climbed up to middle of the podium!  He will be 9 years old for the next tournament, that mean that he has to be in a 9/10 yrs division.  Keep it up Isaac, we are so proud of you.  Great job!
