2019 Christmas Break

Isaac and Luke received many presents from many people for this Christmas and their cousins and aunt visited them from Japan during this break.

Just like last weekend, Isaac watched his brother fighting on the mat from the second seat.  Luke did well unlike the last week and ended up at the sharing 1st place with another completer with the record of 3 wins and 1 loss.

2019 Palo Alto Judo Invitational

Although Isaac was not allowed to do Judo Tournament due to his L thumb injury, Luke decided to go for it.  Luke has shown shown some improvement in his aggression, even though he lost all the matches he had.

Isaac with Broken Thumb

Isaac was warming up as a goalie before the soccer game on Saturday of November 2nd, 2019.  When practicing on diving in each side, his left thumb was caught on the ground, which caused clean fracture in proximal end of 1st metacarpal in L hand (Bottom of the thumb).   A cast was placed on his L hand and his activities were limited after this accident.  No Judo tournaments, No intensive soccer practice/games, No batting, and No catching a ball with his L hand for next 6 weeks. Isaac was really bummed about it, but still played baseball as a pitcher with his R hand for throwing and catching!

Helloween Time

Isaac is almost 12 years old, yet he still enjoys going out Trick or Treat.  He was a grim reaper and Luke was one of the Pokemon Monsters.

Isaac's Travel Team Debut

There was an email from the head-coach of SOLL (South Oakland Little League) U11 All Stars, with which Isaac played this past summer.  The coach was asking us if Isaac was interested in joining a travel team.  There was another email from the assistant coach of SOLL U11 All Stars, indicating that Isaac should play baseball at a higher level.  The head-coach in the travel team has been a coach for over 30 years at all levels and he told us that they were forming U12 team.  Isaac did not even have to take tryout (tests).  I guess the SOLL All Stars coaches gave the head-coach good recommendations.  Isaac decided play as a guest player and participated in 2 tournaments.  The skill levels are definitely higher than little league and Isaac is really enjoying playing baseball at the higher level. One tournament was within 1 hour by driving and another one was in Reno Nevada.  Daddy and Isaac took a road trip to Nevada for this tournament!

2019 Soccer season!

Isaac and Luke continue playing soccer.  Isaac's team is in the middle level, but he is called from the team above in the same organization as a goalie.  I guess is a good goalie.  Luke continues playing at the recreational level.

2019 East Bay nvtational Judo Tournament

Isaac and Luke participated in the tournament with his teammates from his club, 510 Judo. Isaac ended up loosing one match, which placed him in the 2nd place, where as Luke was in the 4th place, no medal.

2019 NOLL/SOLL Fall Ball

The Fall Ball season began in the 2nd week of September.   I decided to keep Isaac in Majors and put Luke in AA.  I knew that this would be easy for Isaac and challenging for Luke.  Isaac was one of the best players in the Majors, ended up selected as one of the SOLL U11 All Starts, and Luke was not in the competitive category (Farm B) in the past season.

Shohei Ohtani in Oakland!

Shohei Ohtani has been Isaac's Idol since he came to the Major league because he pitches and bats.  Ohtani's team, Angeles visited Oakland in the Japanese heritage day and Dad's friend, Janet, gave us 2 free tickets for this game.  Isaac finally got to see real Shohei Ohtan, although he struck out 3 times. 

2019 Japan

Luke and Mommy left America in June 15th and Isaac and Daddy left in June 27 because Isaac was selected for SOLL (South Oakland Little League) All Stars Team for State Championships in U11 category.  Isaac had to leave the team after the 2nd game, but he had priceless experiences with the All Stars team.  Luke entered the local elementary school, Tsukushino-Elementary school, as a 1st grader and this is Isaac's last year with this Elementary school.
