Ski Season has come!
We had some good snowstorms in past 2 weeks in the mountains and the ski resorts are in good conditions. We went up to Boreal last Saturday and Soda Springs today! It was really cold and we have to place tire chains on our car last Saturday, but it was really nice today. It is Luke's true 2nd year of skiing season. Luke has no fear, although he needs to lean more skills before he seriously gets hurt. I started have Isaac practice higher skills, turns without using wedge turns (AKA Pizza slice). He fell several times, but is willing to learn the new skills. We have already 2 trips to the snow this winter. I hope we can make a few more trips so that boys can improve their skills more.

2018 San Francisco CC Invitational Judo Tournament
Luke, unlike the previous week, did great and clinched the 1st place in his division, 6 year-old, Yellow/White Belt Division. It is his first time to get the gold medal. Isaac also placed himself on middle of the podium with all "Ippon". There is one kid in Isaac's division, 10n year-old, Orange/Yellow Belt Division, from Vallejo judo, Gabriel, who beat Isaac in the East Bay Invitational in this past September. Isaac beat Gabriel this time, although it was a close match. Great job Luke and Isaac! We are so proud of both of you!

2018 Palo Alto Invitational Judo Tournament
We were not going to show up this event originally; however, Isaac and Luke decided to participate in this even because all outside events, soccer and baseball games, were cancelled due to unhealthy air quality from the Wild Fire. Isaac did well, but Luke ended up winless 3rd place. Mommy was not happy bout it

Coompetitive Soccer and Fall Ball
Isaac played soccer competitively and played Fall Ball baseball this fall. Luke continues to play recreational soccer, but did not have an opportunity to play baseball this Fall, although Luke has helped Isaac's team once as a designated Right fielder for one game! Luckily, a ball did not go to the Right field when Luke was on the field. Isaac continued showing strong numbers in batting, batting average 0.813 (13/15 batting opportunities) and pitching. When pitching, Isaac either struck batters out or gave a walk. Isaac pitched total 6 and 1/3 innings with 19 strikeouts and 13 walks. When playing for soccer, Isaac was always placed as a goalie for 1/2 of a game.
